Today at 05:31 a.m. MDA dispatching centers were alerted to a shooting incident near the Sheep Intersection, south of Chevron.

MDA responded immediately with several bullet proof ambulances and MICUs from MDA stations nearby and several community ambulances from the surrounding communities.MDA teams treated 1 victim with critical injuries who later died of his wounds, 1 victim with moderate to severe injuries and 2 victims with minor injuries – all 3 were transported to Ein Carem Medical Center in Jerusalem.

 Apparently, an Israeli vehicle accidently ran through a military check point – the soldiers, who feared a terrorist attack, opened fire towards the vehicle. One of the soldiers was hit by a track during the incident and was evacuated from the scene with minor injuries.

This incident is most probably a result of a misidentification.
