27.4.10 NATIONAL DISPATCHING CENTRE, MDA STATION KIRYAT ONO – VISIT OF THE CZECH
MINISTER OF HEALTH (Visitor of the Israel- Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce). A delegation of high ranking members of the Czech Health system, numbering about 60 people – in the medical field, the medical technologies and medical administration this week visited Israel and took part in the MEDAX conference which exhibits the advanced medical technologies in Israeland her staff, visited the National Medical Dispatching Centre of Magen David Adom. Uri Schacham –from the medical division, gave a review about MDA and its activities as the National Organisation in routine, its preparedness for times of emergency and the principles of response toMass Casualty Incidents. Then they toured the National Medical Dispatching Centre and were given explanations about the the Command and Control systems from Ido Rosenblatt, the Director of the Dispatching Centre and from Yonatan Yagodovsky, the Director of the International Department. During the visit,they witnessed the response to a live emergency incident (shooting with a criminal background in Holon) - From the time that the first report was received on the 101 emergency line in the National Medical Dispatching centre, the receiving of further information, transferring the information to the regional Dispatching centre,
keeping an ongoing dialogue with the caller, following closely the response of the local region and its immediate appearance of the ambulance team on the Dispatching Centre logbook and the GPS system, times of response to the incident and the reporting system.
After this they toured an exhibition of MDA rescue vehicles including the “Ambulance Hamishalot” (Wish Ambulance).
